As a pastor and a counselor, people are always asking me what they should do. As the members of my church repeatedly hear me say, ask, listen and obey. That is because the Christian life is not based on rules and regulations, but on relationship with the One who made us. The right answer today may not be the right answer tomorrow. The Shema is an important biblical prayer shared by Jews and Christians throughout history. "Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one, and as for you, you shall Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength." We will discuss what it really means to "shema" - hear and obey, and how to teach others how to interact with God for themselves.
Decisions - they are the rudder of the boat that steers our lives. The problem is that we don't necessarily remember the decisions we have made in childhood, or those that were made for us by caretakers and people in authority over us. We assume that our foundational beliefs are true and act upon them without ever revisiting them. Unfortunately, some of those decisions and beliefs are destroying us, keeping us hyper-vigilant and stressed, which is why we keep returning to our addictions. Learn how to uncover, review and consciously change those decisions from the viewpoint of an adult, and transform your life in the process.
Life Patterns is all about finding the root of what is causing you stress and resolving the underlying issue. In today's session, I will show you how to heal unresolved memories both mentally and physically, and how to alter beliefs and make life changing decisions that will release you from the stress that has plagued you all your life.
