Penny Haynes is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC II / E-CADC II), Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), and Licensed Pastoral Counselor. She is the Administrator for RPM Ministries Inc and its outreaches, including Ministry House, Good Shepherd Recovery House, Celebrate Recovery, Jesus Text Me, and Joint Conferences / Free Online Conferences. The majority of her counseling clients, as well as the men at her Men's Recovery House, have experienced childhood trauma. Many of their parents had no idea that this trauma had occurred, either because the child never shared it, or the parent was a participant in the trauma and never realized or acknowledged their own part in it. This has led to many mental illnesses including depression and anxiety, as well as addiction to cover the pain and allow them to check out mentally. The constant stress they lived with was unbearable, and they did whatever they had to do to survive. However, Life Patterns Therapy helps people heal from their past and break their cycles of reacting to stressful emotions with unhealthy and destructive behaviors. We do that by resolving historical events that still live in their mind and body, and modifying their foundational decisions/beliefs about themselves, events, people and the world around them.
